Kabba Transport is honored to be part of the Mesirat Entrepreneurship Program—a landmark $48 million partnership between the Mastercard Foundation and Gebeya Inc. aimed at transforming Ethiopia's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
About Mesirat
Mesirat means "to work" in Amharic. This five-year program (2023-2028) is designed to:
- Equip 100 entrepreneurs in Ethiopia
- Create 10,000 gig jobs per marketplace
- Enable 1 million youth in dignified work
- Target 70% women participation
The Partners
Mastercard Foundation
A private foundation promoting financial inclusion and equitable access to work for young people in Africa. Their Young Africa Works strategy aims to enable 10 million young people by 2030.
Gebeya Inc.
A Pan-African SaaS-enabled talent marketplace operating in 30+ countries. They provide upskilling, certification, mentorship, and microlending services.
